What's a concrete estimation tool?

This site is designed to be a simple tool that lets you get an idea how much it will cost to pave your driveway or another area with concrete. This project got its start when I decided I wanted to replace my gravel driveway with a cement paved one. I had to do a bit of research to figure out just how much it would cost me to get this job done. I've been learning a bit about how to make a website, so I thought why not turn my research into a simple website. That way anyone who is in need of concrete work can use my site to get them started.

Having a driveway that is mostly made of loose gravel and mud has been more than a minor annoyance for me ever since I purchased my home. In the winter time I can't shovel a path for my car without digging up the ground. Using a snow thrower would be a dangerous proposition. In the summer weeds with thorns grow up through the rocks making something as simple as an oil change the kind of job I'd rather to outsource to a local auto shop.

I've often wanted to get the driveway paved, but I find myself looking at it and thinking "I'm sure it's a luxury I can't afford." I finally decided to stop procrastinating and find out for sure how much it will really cost. I'm more than capable of doing the work myself. I even know someone who specializes in bobcat rentals. I just needed to research how much the concrete would cost. That research is what spawned the idea for this website.
